Always found it interesting how Tv comic book-adaptions during the 90’s often stayed very closely to the media they were interpreting with some like the 1995’s Little Lulu Show straight up adapting certain issues into episodes

In modern day comic adaptions often take so many liberties with the material they’re adapting that they’re completely unrecognizable, with rewritten plots, story elements and the race and sex swapped characters you see so much tv and movies the faithfulness of shows like Hbo’s Spawn, Little Lulu and Mtv’s The Maxx can never be replicated again.

It’s a shame to, when comic’s are adapted into animated form it’s the best media conversion to ever exist, the over reliance on trying to making all comic books into copy and pasted live action films definitely played a part in the neutered stated of what the American comic-book industry is now. So many comics mainstream and indie are just rejected movie scripts and that Union strike isn’t gonna elevate your pitches. The Invincible animated series is one of the few that retains of the creation pathos of the 90’s but even then they’re trying to turn that into a live action where the same song and dance of complaining about changes from Hollywood but going to watch the movie to show your lack of back-bone will permeate.
